Deliver birthday joy to a child currently experiencing homelessness. We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Birthday Wishes this year. Their mission is to improve and empower the lives of homeless children and their families by providing joy, play and hope through the magic of a birthday party.
We are looking for volunteers to create a Birthday-in-a-Box (BIAB), which provides cake supplies and party goods/decorations for a birthday party. This is a fun, hands-on activity you can do with your child or children to share an example of how we can help others.
What: Purchase supplies and assemble one box (or more!) to support the hundreds of celebrations that Birthday Wishes provides each month.
How: See materials needed and instructions here (~$35 for one box), as well as videos explaining how to wrap and build a box. Each participant will purchase their own birthday supplies.
Boxes: To help with the process, we will drop off boxes at your house for you to use! (Note: please register with your current home address.)
Drop Off Dates/Times: Please drop off your completed Birthday-In-A-Box between Thursday 3/3 and Saturday 3/5 at 3 Fields Lane or 30 Adams Lane (LOCATION CHANGED). Please leave the BIAB on the table in the garage.
We would love to beat our number from last year and provide 25 boxes this year, and we can’t do it without your help! Want to fulfill more than 1 box? Register multiple times to provide multiple BIAB's!
No time to assemble a BIAB? Please consider a monetary donation: https://waylandwcpa.org/birthdaywishes/
